Prologue of sorts

As the blog's title suggest after a really long time of extreme boredom ("Not travelling")  i resorted to the easiest way of reminiscing my past travel's through this blog. Once a wise man said  I once had a thought and came up with this extraordinary phrase "We are all born wanderers some get by their lives without this realisation & some become beach bum's while the rest realise & become what ever". This blog would also take myself & the poor souls reading this (mostly friends) from the city of chennai ("Insert city fact - 2nd longest beach in the world") to Dallas,Texas. Yeap thats right in heartland of desert state Texas - No beach of sorts in 600km surrounding.
Paragraph of no importance - வரலாறு மிக முக்கியம் அமைச்சரே.
My addiction to beach started since childhood but of late some of the best moment that flashes through my mind which made me realise the beach bum i am today are listed
    i) First beer of my life (kalyani beer) on a superhot afternoon underneath a palm tree, ECR beach chennai.
ii) Regular hangout sessions/beach cricket  during college in thriuvanmyur beach, chennai.
iii) 9 Feet high - beach resto & pub in chennai, most beautiful & one of the best "Atti" hangout(drinking) spot.

& the countless number of sunrise & sunset's with friends, family & even my manager a couple of times :P. Not to miss out fullmoon trips to side beach, just 5 crazy assholes. Moon, isolated beach & dum (sutta) listening to "sea dreamer & anoushka shankar" over & over again until when the cops turn up to throw us out of the beach. Not to forget trips to pondicherry good beaches & cheap heineken was heaven of sorts then. There have been times ending up in 9feet high in wee hours getting sloshed, stopping by regular tea shop to sobre up & guess what we ended up sleeping on the tea shop bench overnight, thanks to sunlight which woke us up.

Scene closes & opens again. Its Aug 2009, I end up welcomed to singapore by a fatso 60 year old Air india air hostess. Again first few outings with family & friends begins in ECP (East coast beach. Quite a big transformation what a single letter change in place could do EC"R" to EC"P", from bootlegging beer into ECR side beach n trying to head back home escaping traffic cops & pot holes & act all sobre by the time u reach home to here i am happily sipping my heineken & partying with bikini babes on a beach club & best part was there was always a cabbie to take u back & no one to answer at home :). Followed this was 4 years of travelling across best islands & beaches in the world & my experiences in these places is what will be put up in upcoming blogs. Singapore thus changed the length of my travel bucket list by a few pages & made sure i dont stick to beaches & rather add the travel experience to my bucket list.
